Deepika Padukone was born on January 5, 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is the daughter of the famous Indian badminton player, Prakash Padukone. Her family moved to Bangalore, India when she was just one year old. Deepika grew up in Bangalore and completed her education there. She completed her pre-university education from Mount Carmel College and then pursued a degree in sociology from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
